It was great to be at the Alternative Credit Council Private Credit Investor Forum 2024 in Miami last week and it particularly interesting to hear the growing prominence of special situations strategies – both US and European centric – in the forefront of LPs’ allocation decision making. The transaction set in European special situations real estate is the largest and most fertile since the GFC and we expect market conditions in 2024 will allow the special situations mindset / methodology to come to the fore.
